Hexcel started producing skis in 1971. Hexcel begins manufacturing skis, bringing together a number of the company's materials and technologies into a single finished product. The fast, lightweight, durable snow ski quickly becomes a status symbol on the slopes the world over. Jim DeKieffer started skiing when he was 12 years old, in Boulder, Colorado. He took the ski train to Winter Park every Saturday, in season, with the Eskimo Ski Club. He bought his first pair of skis when he was 14. |
