10th Mountain Division mittens, shell, trigger finger, Stock No. 73-M-3610, A windproof poplin, leather palmed mitt for use with the mitten, insert, trigger finger, in low temperatures. The superimposed trigger finger permits use of a rifle without exposing the trigger finger to the cold, Ordinarily the fingers will be kept together in the body of the mitt and the trigger finger used only when necessary, The trigger finger may be turned inside out and tucked in to keep it out of the way, "duck gauntlet" style mittens, Olive/Green drab, Wrist straps to tighten and adjust |

These mittens were donated to the Museum in 1977 by The National Association of the 10th Mountain Division. The items were on display in the 10th Mountain Division diorama until 2017. The mittens returned to storage in July 2018. |
