These skis entered the Museum in 1977 and were thought to have been a donation at some point (likely in 1997), but in fact were a long-term loan. In 2017, the skis were removed from display in the Colorado History exhibit. The item was photographed for our capital campaign at this time as well. We consulted with the owners of the skis in 2018 and they confirmed this was a loan. No paperwork was signed for this transation to be a donation. As of 2018, the records were changed to a loan. Diana Donovan has agreed to renew the loan at of June 2018. |
