Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) National Demonstration Team - Descente - uniform sweater, 100% wool, Crew neck style sweater has a triangular geometric pattern with three shades of blue (navy, cornflower or a gray blue, and a bright teal or sapphire blue) and cream, Collar, hand cuffs, and waist band are all in the brighter shade of blue, Proper left outer shoulder/upper arm has a Professional Ski Instructors of America patch in the shape of a crest with PSIA in a blue upper portion and then red and white vertical stripes on the bottom of the patch. |

This sweater was donated to the Museum by Ellen Post Foster, upon her induction into our Hall of Fame in 2021. The item was given to her as part of her Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) National Demonstration Team uniform in 1986. She wore it while leading clinics for ski instructors across the country for PSIA. Team sweaters were custom sized. |
