Notes |
Larry started skiing at age 11 and roamed the world as a young man. He returned to the US to serve in the Army during World War II and was part of the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale. After his service, he became a statewide surveyor for potential ski areas. He helped form Arapahoe Ski Basin Inc. and started several programs including the Willy Schaeffler ski school, the first amputee program in the state. |

This photo was donated to the Museum in 1981/1982 while Larry Jump was inducted into the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame as a Sport Builder. The photo was taken at Arapahoe Basin in February of 1950. |
