| Description | 10th Mountain Division photo showing Roy Arntsen at Camp Hale in his dress or formal uniform. The 10th Mountain Division had a formal Class A uniform. It was worn for special occasions or when a soldier was on furlough or traveling off-post. For a short time in 1943 and 1944, soldiers were allowed to wear their ski cap, pants, boots, and white gaiters with their dress jacket and tie. Here, Roy Arntsen is shown wearing an Overseas Cap or Cap, Garrison, Olive drab, which was worn as the dress cap and could be worn in non-combat situations. |
